Research Invitation Program

We Might Contact You About Research

At Mass General Brigham, our hospitals and staff want to provide you with the best care possible. Research studies help us find new and better ways to care for you.

To find new treatments and improve our patients' health, we need patients like you to hear about our studies. You can decide if you want to be in the studies. If you don't, you just say no. Your care here will not be affected, whether or not you choose to join a research study.

How do Patient Research Invitations work?

At Mass General Brigham, we may contact you about studies that we hope will interest you.

  1. You will receive your research invitation in Patient Gateway or by mail. This lets you hear about studies as soon as they become available.
  2. Your message or letter will tell you how to learn more about the study. Someone from the study team might also call you.
  3. After you learn more and get your questions answered, then you can decide about that specific study. You can say YES you want to join the study, or you can say NO.

How can I learn more?
