What we are studying

Does your child lose their temper easily? Do they have a hard time calming down when they are angry or upset?

If your child is 7-17 years old, struggles to control their anger, and you and your child speak English, your child may be eligible to participate in an intervention called Regulate and Gain Emotional Control (RAGE-Control).

RAGE-Control is a research treatment study for children who have difficulties controlling their anger.

In our study, children learn relaxation skills to help them calm down when they are angry, and then they practice these skills while playing a specialized videogame that utilizes their heart rate.

RAGE-Control is part of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).

Treatment is provided at no cost, a parking permit is provided for all treatment visits and participants will receive compensation for their participation.
