What we are studying
The Dietary Habits research study will evaluate if changing meal patterns lowers risk for developing diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. Prospective research study participants must be non-smokers between the ages of 20-60, overweight (BMI 25-37.9), and without medication use (birth control is acceptable). Healthy Volunteers
Healthy volunteers are eligible for this study
What you may be asked to do
• Medical screening • 3-5 short screening visits • Two 9-day in-laboratory stays at Brigham and Women’s Hospital • No study medication involved • Fat biopsy
Project activities may include:
- Survey
- Office visit
- Overnight stay
- Injection or IV
- Blood draw
- Biopsy
- Personal health tracking
