Overview
What we are studying
Sponsored by the CF Foundation, this 3 to 5 month study is comparing different blood sugar tests to better diagnose and treat CF-related diabetes. People with cystic fibrosis are at very high risk to develop diabetes, a condition when blood sugar levels are higher than normal. Right now, the only way to accurately diagnose CF-related diabetes is an oral glucose tolerance test. We hope to find an easier way to measure blood sugar levels in CF patients.
