What we are studying

We are studying a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) called the Dexcom G7. We are looking at whether it can be used to test for gestational diabetes (high blood sugar in pregnancy).

Why it is important

Every person is tested for high blood sugar in pregnancy. Finding and treating high blood sugar in pregnancy is important to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. We need better and easier options for blood sugar testing in pregnancy.

What we hope to accomplish

We want to see if continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) could be a better and easier way to test for gestational diabetes. We hope to give pregnant people more options for glucose testing in pregnancy.
