What we are studying

Covid-19 is unprecented and impact is still unknown. While certain circumstances around the death of a loved one, including suddenness of the loss, lack of social support, or certain diseases have been suggested to predict poorer mental health outcome among bereaved individuals, more data is needed. With potentially 100,000 American deaths expected due to COVID-19, its an important time to understand how people respond to bereavement to develop the best ways to support them.
