What we are studying

The purpose of this study is to find out how a specific gene, called lysine-specific demethylase 1 or LSD1, works with salt in the diet to change blood pressure.

Why it is important

We believe that understanding the relationship between this gene and salt in the diet will help us better understand why certain people develop high blood pressure. This may also help us better treat people who have high blood pressure.

What we hope to accomplish
