What we are studying

In this research study we want to learn more about changes in body temperature among women who have been diagnosed with migraine headaches and among women who have not been diagnosed with migraine headaches. In addition, we want to learn more about whether changes in body temperature may be related to the start of a migraine attack.

Why it is important

Migraine is one of the leading causing of disability worldwide. No studies have formally explored the role of body temperature in migraine onset and whether changes in body temperature may cause migraines to start.  Further understanding the role of body temperature in migraine may lead to new ways to predict migraine attacks or help us develop new therapies for treating migraine.
