What we are studying

We are conducting this study to learn more about the effects antiretroviral medications (ARVs) may have on the immune system.

Why it is important

With the introduction of pre-exposure prophylaxis, or “PrEP," the effects of ARVs on HIV Negative individuals can be compared to those who are infected with HIV. What may be discovered could lead to improved treatment, new prevention strategies, or a cure.
