Recruiting volunteers with ASD aged 12-19 years for an at-home sleep research study

We're interested in using sleep headbands that measure brain rhythms during sleep at home to study sleep in individuals with ASD.

Enrollment for this study is expected to close on Saturday, August 16, 2025

Volunteers with ASD between 12-19 years who are English speaking and able to understand and respond to questionnaires

Individuals with ongoing treatment for sleep disorders (except insomnia), or neurological or seizure disorders


  • 1 visits (up to 4 hours) to the Lurie Center for training on a sleep headband

  • Overnight sleep at home wearing a sleep headband for 3 nights

  • EEG recording of your brain activity while listening to tones and clicks

  • Wear a wristband to monitor sleep and activity

  • Complete a sleep diary and questionnaires


Project activities may include:

  • Office visit
  • Survey
  • Personal health tracking
